AG-7200 (AG-LA7200) True Anamorphic Lens Adapter Tutorial on DSLRs using 5d mark II from Eric Manche & Jeff Nitzberg on Vimeo.

I’ve been reading a lot about lenses lately. I started to think about shooting anamorphic video and how to achieve that using a DSLR. Luckily, I found this set of videos by Erich Manche and Jeff Nitzberg about that exact subject. Using adapters, they attached a true anamorphic lens (AG-7200) on to a Canon 5D mkII. It takes a few simple steps and bit of calibration but after that you are off to the races.

The comparison video really shows how the anamorphic ratio really could make your video look even more cinematic (and without losing anything too boot!)
